Joel Andrew Walker, age 33, of Plano, Texas, passed away November 1, 2016.  Joel was born April 18, 1983, in Watford, England, to Nigel William and Ann Elizabeth (Cook) Walker.  He graduated from Plano Sr. High in 2001.  Joel graduated from Texas Tech University with both his BBA in 2005 and his MBA in 2007 with a semester abroad at the University of Prague in the Czech Republic.  He was employed with JP Morgan Chase as a financial analyst for the past five years.
He is survived by his parents, Nigel and Ann Walker of Plano, Texas; fiancée, Kineret Cohen, also of Plano; grandparents, Hilda Cornall and Alan Cornall of Milton Keynes, England; nephew, James Hamilton of Allen; and his beloved dogs, Chips and Queso.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Marie Hamilton.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2016, at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas.  A private family graveside service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
Anyone wanting to contribute to Joel’s favorite charity can do so at Fanconi Anemia Research Fund (FARF),http://fanconi.org/index.php/donate, it's the only hope we have of defeating this problematic rare disorder.  Joel’s oncologist at MD Anderson, Dr. William William is on the Scientific advisory board at FARF and a leading researcher into new treatments.
