Carolyn Colton Smith Moody was born September 4, 1941, to Winslow Whitney Smith and Alice Colton Smith in Los Angeles, CA. She passed away at her home September 13, 2016. After years of pain she is finally at peace.

She attended USU where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Library Science. She lived in Israel when she was 12 and in Vienna from ages 18-21 while her father served as the Austrian mission president. She loved to travel. She married Richard Young Moody December 28, 1965, in the Logan, Utah temple. They had the privilege of celebrating their 50th anniversary last December. Her life with Rick took her to many places from Virginia to Hong Kong in the early years of marriage. She was blessed with six children. She had a great love of dragons, fairies, sci-fi, and reading. She was extremely gifted at all types of sewing. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Moody; her children Cres (Trish) Moody, Colt (Ani) Moody, Alicia (Erik) Largin, Kami (Jason) Collard, Kyley (Merrilee) Moody and Mindy (Jason) Bigler; 24 grandchildren; and her brother: Phil (Ruthann) Smith. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and her sweet baby sister Annette.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 17, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Toquerville 3rd Ward Chapel. A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the service. Interment will be at the Toquerville City Cemetery.

Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her. Strength and honour are her clothing. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Love you dearly, until we meet again as an eternal family.
