Mildred Kathleen Black, age 79, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016, in Ft. Worth, TX surrounded by her loved ones. Her Homegoing Service will be Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada. Interment to follow at the Floydada Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Millie, as she was affectionately known, was born to Lee Andrews 'Bob' and Gertie (White) Campbell on August 26, 1937 in Franklin, TX. She was a life-long resident of Fort Worth, TX but held Floydada, the city of her childhood and youth, close and dear to her heart. In addition to receiving her high school diploma, she also received an Associate Degree in Business from Tarrant County Community College.
Family members that presided her to glory are her parents, sisters - Velma Coleman, Juanita Price, Bobbie Minnitt, and brothers - Lee Andrews Campbell and Raymond Campbell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children - Ralph Breedlove, Clem Breedlove, Cheryl Black Bunkley, Lacy Black, Gerald Black, Celia Black, and Cannon Black (Tracey). Grandchildren - Clem Breedlove Jr., Alishya Breedlove, Anthony Breedlove, Jacob Bunkley (Corliss), Terrence Bunkley (Laina), Lacy Black Jr., Demario Black, Darryl Richard, and Cannon Black Jr. Siblings - John Campbell, Carrie Davis, Stella Jones, Clarissa Wells, and James Campbell. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
