Barbara Bowles Stratton
Our beloved mother, daughter, wife, grandmother, sister, and aunt, at the age of 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 9, 1938, in Panguitch, Utah, to Roxie Craig Bowles and Spencer Leo Bowles. She was raised and lived most of her life in Nephi, Utah.
She then married John Calvin Tolman. They had 5 children. She worked at 5 County Association of Government for many years. Barbara Bowles Stratton was married years later to Clayton Darwin Stratton, and lived in Hurricane, Utah for the rest of her years. She left this earth into the loving arms of her savior on September 26, 2016.
She will be remembered by all as very hard working, she was always on her feet and on the go. She truly loved her family and lived life for her family and friends. She always wanted to help people, and that is what she did. She was very friendly, loving, giving and kind. Everyone loved her! We all have been so blessed to have her in our lives!
She was preceded in death by: her husband Clayton Darwin Stratton; her mother Roxie Craig Bowles and father Spencer Leo Bowles; her brother Boyd Spence Bowles; 2 babies Johnny Dean Tolman, and Todd Tolman.
She is survived by: her four children: Carrie Lee Tolman Isom, Mark Tolman, Bradley J Tolman, Stephanie Iva Lynn Katich; her sister Donna Kelsy; her brother Bevan Bowles; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She is so loved, and will be missed by many as she continues her journey, free of any suffering.
Memorial services will be held Friday, September 30, 2016, at the Hurricane 8th Ward Chapel 155 East 1050 North in Hurricane, Utah. The viewing will be from 10:30 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 12:00 noon. A luncheon will be served at 1:00 p.m.
