Douglas Graham Murray, 82, of Toms River, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, NJ.

He was born in Bergen County - residing in North Bergen, Bergenfield, and River Edge - he was the proprietor of D & C Chevron in River Edge. Doug later moved to Toms River, where he served as a NJ State Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor. In more recent years, he was a resident of Atlantic Coast Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Lakewood.

Douglas was a good man with a great sense of humor and an amazing memory. His proudest accomplishment in life was helping others. He will be missed by those who love him.

Douglas was predeceased by his beloved parents, Graham and Ann Murray. He is survived by his brother Roy and his wife Terri; his niece Heather and her husband Brian; his nephew Paul; two great-nieces, a great-nephew, and his long-time companion Lorraine Spicer.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 10, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. There will be a graveside service on Friday at 11:30AM at Riverside Cemetery, Rt. 9 and Old Freehold Road, Toms River, NJ.
