Born in Brownsville, Pa. and raised in Virginia, he lived in Roselle, N.J. for 30 years before moving to Homestead 11 years ago. Mr. Corley retired 12 years ago as a safety specialist for NJ Transit Co. in Maplewood after many years of devoted service.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a former Boy Scout leader, enjoyed puttering around his garage and trips to the casinos in Atlantic City.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann (Kotora) Corley; two sons, James Corley Jr. (Dawn) and Kevin Corley (Lisa); and four grandchildren, Olivia, Grace, Landon and Alexis. He is also survived by his mother and his siblings.
His memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front Street, Florence, where the visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover.
Memorial donations may be sent to any local Boy Scout group.
