DAVENPORT — Marcella J. Davis, 72, of Davenport, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at her home. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Friday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. The Rev. Ron Carlson will officiate. Those wishing to attend the burial are asked to meet at 8:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, for procession onto the Island. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Scott County.
Marcella was born in 1944 in Davenport, to Albert and Delores Berg. She married Wayne Davis on Nov. 5, 1976, in Milan, having just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Marcella worked in the Von Maur warehouse for 17½ years, retiring in 2006. She had previously worked for Montgomery Ward for 8½ years. She enjoyed embroidery and quilting, loved animals, and spending time with her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband Wayne; daughter, Jennifer Cracraft, and fiancé Mike Klemme; sons, Keith Arivett and Clifford Arivett, all of Davenport; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her very special dear friend Paulette Leonard of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her parents.
