Survivors include: two sons, Willard Gardner and wife Patsy of Morristown, TN; and James H. Gardner and wife Barbara of Sebastopol; three grandchildren: Greg Gardner; Cherie Coghlan; and Ann Burnham all of Sebastopol; four great grandchildren: Charlie Stephens and Marilyn Coghlan both of Sebastopol; and Joshua James Anderson and Julie Anderson of Keys, OK; three sisters: Lois Jones of Long Beach, MS; Faye Weaver of Lake; and Rosalyn Anthony of Pensacola, FL and one brother: L. V. Comans of Pensacola, FL and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J. G. Gardner, two brothers, and one sister.
Ms. Essie Mae Gardner was a member of Reid Chapel Church of God having donated the land for the church and cemetery. She will be remembered for the love she showed to her church and family. Ms. Essie enjoyed cooking and working. She was always available to participate in anything her church and family needed.
