Bettie Jane Story Hughes Foster, 84, died Tuesday, November 08, 2016 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Mrs. Foster was born on October 26, 1932 in Paducah, KY to the late James P. and Mae Story. In 1983, she retired from Peoples First National Bank, where she served as a bank officer and head of the proof department. She was a lifetime member of Lone Oak Church of Christ. Mrs. Foster enjoyed traveling, reading, and most importantly, spending time with her family

Mrs. Foster is survived by one daughter, Jeannie Hughes (Steve Nanney) of Paducah, KY; two stepsons, Lynn (Janice) Foster of Paducah, KY and Wayne (Denise) Foster of Nicholasville, KY; two close nieces, Nancy (Tom) Harper of Rockwood, TN and Jane (Ken) Ruehl of Georgetown, TX; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 19 years, William Rufus Hughes and her second husband of 19 years, Joseph Foster; one sister, Dorothy Story Anneken; one brother, James W. Story, as well as her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with burial to follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Mrs. Foster cultivated many relationships through her Lone Oak Church of Christ family that she valued deeply, but none more so than Jamey Boone, who will be officiating, his wife Tammie, and their two sons, Jeremiah and Elijah.
