Michael Edward Holman born to Oscar Carl Jones Jr. and Madeline M. Henry on January 30, 1960, went home to be with The Lord on November 6, 2016. Some of the things he enjoyed were cooking, listening to hard rock 'old school' music, speed-walking, celebrating the 4th of July, and spending time with his dogs, Goldie Bear and Little Bear. Michael very much enjoyed being surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife of thirty-one years, Diana Holman; step-mother, Laverne; sisters, Linda and Theresa, brothers, John Sr., Joe, and Dale, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Madeline M. Henry and father, Oscar (Poly) Jones Jr., infant brother, Gregory; Ma and Pa Jones, adopted parents, Garvin and Nola Holman, and brother, Jerry. Special thanks to Chaplain Loren, nurses Pam, Abai, Tausha, and the rest of the hospice staff. Services will be held on November 10, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. His final resting place will be at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery.
