Ray Ardis Lambert, 79, of Martinsville, passed away on Sunday, November 06, 2016 at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. He was born on February 23, 1937 in Louisiana to the late Cardis Simme Lambert and Jessie Schillings Lambert. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Lambert; and two sisters, Dorothy Lambert and Jerri McLeod.

Ray was of the Baptist faith. He was the owner operator of Ray Lambert Auctions and a Real Estate Developer for over 40 years. He was a licensed auctioneer in Virginia, Louisiana and North Carolina.

Ray is survived by his wife of 33 years, Brenda Hunt Lambert of the home; a son, Glenn R. Lambert of Axton; two daughters, Patricia Green of Carencro, La. and Bobbie Jo Seamster of Axton; two brothers, Cardis Lambert Jr. of Shreveport, La. and Curtis E. Lambert of Denham Springs, La.; two sisters, Mary Beaumont of Batesville, Ark. and Betty Morace of Walker, La.;, seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Preacher James Cole officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from Noon to 2 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn before the service.
