Martin, Hester Elizabeth Hardy aged 66, died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dolly Zebley, Mt. Braddock at 8:05 Friday evening, January 20, 1950. Born in Dunbar, April 2, 1883, a daughter of the late Isaac and Alice Hardy. She spent most of her life in the vicinity of Mt. Braddock where she was a member of the M.P. Church. Surviving are her husband James S. Martin and these children, Mrs. Dolly Zebley and Mrs. Alice Overly of Mt. Braddock, Rev. Walter I. Martin, Markleysburg, Herbert of Mt. Braddock, Charles (Max) of Dunbar, Harold F. Martin of Shady Grove, sisters Mrs. Ada Hennessey of Fairbank, Mrs. Savilla Johns of Poland, Mrs. Mary Jordan of Dunbar, Mrs. Neva Gobligetto of Masontown, Mrs. Susan Moody & Mrs. Helen Moody of Thompson 2; and three brothers, Walter Hardy of Bobtown, William of Dillinger and Charles Hardy of Frederick town, twenty grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Friends are being received in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Overly, Mt. Braddock where brief services will be conducted Tuesday, January 24 at 1:30 p.m. followed by additional rites in the Mt. Braddock Methodist church at 2 o'clock with Rev. W.S. Hamilton of Glassport officiating, assisted by Rev. W.A. Linaberger , Jr. Burial will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery under the direction of the Burhans Funeral Home. Dunbar.
