CLYDE B. WATSON, age 79, a resident of Sikeston, died at 10:29 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau surrounded by his family.

He was born February 11, 1937 in Hickman County, KY to the late Herman Emanuel and Eva Louise Martin Watson. Working most of his life in service stations, he was employed at Glenn Malone’s Service Station in Charleston for 12 years, then Buddy Parr’s station in Bertrand before purchasing and operating Watson’s Service Station and Mini Mart in Blodgett from 1979 until his retirement in 2001.

On October 8, 1952 he married Joyce Ann Reeves who survives of the home.

Also surviving are one daughter, Shelia Ann Watson of Sikeston; one granddaughter, Lisa Kay Watson of Sikeston; one great granddaughter, Chelsea Lynn Cross of Sikeston; and three sisters, Donna Sue Watson Marshall of Sikeston, Barbara Kay Watson of Bertrand, and Herma Jean Watson Truttman of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Kay Watson; one son, Ronnie Clyde Watson; and one brother, Raymond Emanuel Watson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Nick Simmons, pastor of Chapel by the Lake in Miner, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
