“Lloyd Orville Rickerson, 81 years of age, of 405 Cherry, died at 2 a.m. today at Hedrick Medical Center, where he had been hospitalized two days.

Mr. Rickerson was a retired carpenter and was born July 16, 1894, in the Bedford community. He was the son of Robert and Almeda Morgan Rickerson. Mr. Rickerson grew up in the Bedford community and lived for five years in Montana before moving to Chillicothe. He was a member of the IOOF lodge. He was married September 26, 1917, to Golda Ellen Eaton, who survives.

Other survivors are three sons, Elton of North Kansas City, Robert of Jefferson City and William of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Lou Harvey of Ventura, Calif., and Mrs. Martha Ann Gall of Overland Park, Kansas; a brother, Harvey Rickerson of Red Cloud, Nebr.; two sisters, Mrs. Hallie Saunders of Gillette, Wyo., and Miss Bessie Rickerson of Chillicothe; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Rickerson will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the Wheeling Cemetery.” The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, March 1, 1976
