Ted was born raised in Irving, Texas. He joined the Army in 1965 where he served as a Military Police Officer in Vietnam. He earned the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service on convoys. After returning from the Army, Ted met and married Karla Brown on May 10, 1968 and together they raised 2 children. Ted was active coaching youth baseball throughout his children's early years. He enjoyed playing golf, and working. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved very much. Ted was a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church in Wellston where he taught Sunday school.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mike Green; and brother, Jack Green. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Karla Green of the home; son, Jason Green and his wife Elizabeth of Foristell, Missouri; siblings, Mike Green, Billy Green, Tony Green, twin sisters, Doris Green and Doloris Blanchett; (5) grandchildren, Darren, Devin, Destiny, Talon, and Tatum; along with other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m., November 11, 2016 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Wellston with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.
