Julia E. Hayes stepped out of time to eternity after 100 blessed years on this earth. She resided in Paducah on the street she was born for 99 years and in her final year moved to the suburbs of Chicago where she continued to be nurtured, pampered, honored and loved by her family.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her nieces, Dolores Pidgeon, Judith Miller and Jewel Hamilton; nephews, Royal White Jr., Dr. Lewin Wyatt Jr. Floyd Roberson Jr. and Michael Roberson; 10 great-nieces and nephews; eight grandnieces and nephews; her devoted friend, Connie McVoy; and a host of loving caregivers and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016, 10:30 a.m. at Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Raynarldo Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
