Beverly Jean Alexander, 73, of Richmond, Kansas, passed away Sunday, November 06, 2016, at the Richmond Health Center, where she had lived for the past six years.

She was born July 10, 1943, in Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of Charles Stanley and Lillian Lela (Robinson) Morey.

She grew up in Garnett and graduated from Garnett High School in 1961.

On July 22, 1961, she and Adrain "Bud" Alexander, Jr. were married at the Scott Valley Church of the Brethren in rural Westphalia, Kansas. They became the parents of three children.

They lived in Topeka, Onaga, Alma, rural Burlington, and New Strawn before moving to the Scott Valley neighborhood in Coffey County.

Beverly had worked at Country Critters in Burlington and as a custodian at the Burlington Elementary School until her retirement.

She had been a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Bud, preceded her in death on March 22, 1998. She was also preceded by her parents.

She leaves her children, Ron Alexander, Lawrence, KS, Brad Alexander and wife Jennifer, Burlington, and Stephanie Alexander, Burlington; three grandchildren, Travis and Avery Alexander and Ashley Curtiss; two great-grandchildren, Tabitha and Katrina Alexander; two sisters, Maryann Tindell, Lawrence and Debbie Ramsey, Garnett; a brother, Dale Morey, Broken Arrow, OK; a number of nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, November 11, 2016, at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will follow in Star Cemetery east of Burlington.

The family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the fune
