Suggested edit: Harry was born September 25, 1930, and passed away September 15, 2022, at the age of 91 years, 11 months, and 21 days.

Harry was born to Ducy J. and Leoma Watson in Downsville, Louisiana. He was one of nine children and grew up loving to fish at Lake D'Arbonne. Upon graduation from Downsville High in 1950, he was drafted and faithfully served his country in the US Army. After his allotted time was served, he then started his next journey working for South Central Bell Telephone Company over the span of 30 years where he wore many hats and advanced from starting out as a lineman, installation, repairman then to cable splicer technician. After retiring from the telephone company, he then contracted out with several independent telephone contractors where he traveled throughout California and the Midwest locating and installing fiber optics. He and Mavis traveled and saw a lot of the country and met many long-lasting friends along the way.

Upon final retirement, he was happy being at home and spending time on his tractor mowing and having all the grandkids nearby. He and Mavis were longtime members of East Leesville Baptist Church for over 48 years and never missed a Sunday while in good health.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Ducy and Leoma Watson; his wife of 67 years, Mavis Watson; his siblings, brothers Bill Watson, Huey Watson, and Grady Watson and sister, Gloria Grazier.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons and daughter, grandchildren, siblings and a host of nieces and nephews.
