Clarence “Shorty” Eastridge, age 98, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 in Leesburg, Florida. Shorty was born in Knox County, Kentucky and has been a resident of the Lady Lake and later the Leesburg area for over 35 years. He was a longtime member of the Teamsters Union, and went on to retire as an inspector for the Roadway Trucking Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leesburg and had been a Mason for 68 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 76 years – Ethel; daughters – Patricia (Gary) Teague – of Leesburg; and Judy (Willie) Cobb of Longboat Key, Florida; 5 grandchildren: Tracy (Leigh) Teague, Lori (Todd) Smith, Brady (Rachel) Teague, Travis (Kara) Cobb, and Jodi (Brad) Duncan; 13 great-grandchildren: Laura, Sam, Logan, Lindsay, Davis, Hannah, Halle, Kennedy, Caraline, Will, Max, Jack and Charlie. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to: First Baptist Church of Leesburg – 220 N. 13th Street, Leesburg, FL 34748 or Cornerstone Hospice – 2445 Lane Park Rd, Tavares, FL 32778. A Funeral Service celebrating Clarence’s life is planned for Friday, November 18, 2016 in Corbin, Kentucky.
