She was born April 18, 1911, in Norridgewock, the daughter of Miles and Albertha (Annett) Dickinson. Mrs. Forbes enjoyed family gatherings and had many hobbies, including flower gardening, crocheting, decorating, making quilts and traveling.
She is survived by one son and three daughters, William Forbes and his wife, Warrena, of Washburn, Gloria Flannery and her husband, Ruel, of Fort Fairfield, Phyllis Anderson of Orange City, Fla., and Janet Erickson and her husband, Richard, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Forbes was predeceased by her husband, William E. Forbes, in 1986, after 55 years of marriage; and three sons, Philip W. Forbes in 2004, Donald C. Forbes in 2000 and Richard Z. Forbes in 1937.
At her request, there will be no services at this time. Friends and relatives are invited to attend graveside services in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou, at a time and date to be announced by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
