Brittany Leann Godwin, 22, of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Greenville. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M., Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Stubblefield and Pastor and Uncle, Jody Berch officiating. Visitation will be 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on November 9, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Celeste Cemetery.
Brittany was born March, 23 1994 in Sherman, Texas. She loved life and spread joy to everyone around her. Her smile was bright and contagious lighting up the room. Brittany was taken from this world too soon by a tragic car accident.
She was very active in FFA, basketball, and Drill Team. Her most loved sport was softball. She made a lot of life long friends through these activities, which impacted many lives. Brittany is remembered as a faithful and loyal friend to all that knew her.
Brittany was a loving daughter and best friend to her mother, Christy Speir Godwin, She was a beloved Daddy’s girl to her Father, Darron Godwin and devoted sister to her only Brother, Beau Godwin and sister in law Brandy and was the “Amazing Aunt B” to her 3 Nephews; Jayden, Braiden, and Brantlee. She nurtured and loved them as her own. She was a cherished Granddaughter to Sam and Sharion Speir and Larry and Marsha Godwin. She left behind many other very dear family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lance Speir, Kade Speir, Brandon Brand, Drew Godwin, Chris Sephus, Tyler Willeford, Allen Lyday and Robert Griffiths.
Our hearts are breaking from the loss of our sweet Brittany, but we have comfort in knowing that she trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and is now dancing in His arms. This is not goodbye, but see you soon.
