At 110 years plus, Mrs. Luckett is the oldest person to be buried at Crown Hill. Mrs. Luckett outlived the "19--" that was inscribed on her headstone when it was purchased in the 1920s.
She grew up in Indianapolis, the daughter of Calvin F. and Barbara (MASNER) DUKE. They lived near 22nd and Pennsylvania streets but moved after a stable was built across the street.
She graduated with a home economics degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1918.
