Mr. Bobby Oglesby, age 82, of the Rackettown Community, died Monday, November 7, 2016, at home, after an extended illness. He was a native of southern Emanuel County, grew in Oak Park, and lived in Toombs County most of his life. Early in his life, he worked with Lee Packing Company in Savannah, and retired after forty-three years as a meat cutter from Stewart’s Quality Meats. He was a former Deacon and member of the Lower Corinth Free Will Baptist Church near Oak Park. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Williamson Oglesby in 2010; two daughters, Debbie Sue Mosley and Ann Peebles; a granddaughter, Christina Wilcher; parents, Roy Augustus Oglesby and Edna Grace Cowart Oglesby; and a brother, Roy Remer Oglesby.

Mr. Oglesby is survived by two children, Robbie Oglesby and Janet Oglesby Roland and husband Wayne; two sisters, Betty Williamson and Mary Simmons, all of Rackettown; one brother, John Oglesby and wife Lori Gale of Alston; eight grandchildren, Jerry Peebles, Stacy Morris, Timmy Pittman, Dewayne Peebles, Robbie Oglesby, Susan Mikell, Misty Oglesby, and William Mosley; nineteen grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Thursday, November 10th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Toole officiating. Burial will follow in the Williamson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00
