Ann Brademeyer Jacobs, age 96, died November 6, 2016, at Aston Court in McComb, MS. Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2016 from 1:30 until service at 3:30 at Jones Family Funeral Services. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery. Dr. Woody Rimes and Bro. Jeff Frank will officiate.

Ann Jacobs was born in Sebeka Minnesota, the daughter of Irvin and Hilda Weappa Brademeyer.

She was a graduate of Taylor High School in Taylor North Dakota and attended Dickinson State Teachers College in Dickinson ND. She married Lester Jacobs in 1941 and they spent 24 years in ND where Mrs. Jacobs taught school in several communities there. She was also the organist for her church and was the main speaker for many church retreats. The couple moved to Arizona in 1965 where Mrs. Jacobs was very active in their church, teaching Sunday School, leading Prayer Groups and working with Senior Adults.

Mrs. Jacobs moved to McComb MS in 2003 where she attended Retired Teachers Luncheons, and joined the First Baptist Church of McComb where she sang with the Senior Adult Choir. Mrs. Jacobs lived her life for the Lord, and she took great pleasure in her family, her church, oil painting, and entertaining. She especially appreciated her friends and the staff of Aston Court in her last few years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester Jacobs, her brother Melvin Brademeyer, and her sister Ora Schmidt.

Mrs. Jacobs is survived by her son Gary and his wife Vicki Jacobs of McComb; her daughter Nancy Redmond of Minneapolis, Minnesota; her sister Marion Harding of Morton, Illinois; 4 grandchildren: Shari Frank of McComb, Paula Caston of Liberty, Seth Redmond, and Elise Redmond, both of Minneapolis, MN.; and 6 great grandchildren: Rebekah, Rachel, and Rylee Frank of McComb; Cody Redmond of Minneapolis, MN; and Emily and Brenley Caston of Liberty MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
