Mrs. Warren was born August 22, 1930 in Guilford County and was a resident of this area all her life. In her early years she had worked at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Sears and Roebuck, Wesley Long Hospital and most recently was a homemaker. She also was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church in High Point. In 1948 she married Bobby Ray Warren who preceded her death in 1999. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, R.G. Kearns Jr. in 1990.
Surviving are three children, Randy L. Warren and wife Pam of Greensboro, Sarah Marley and husband Ron of Robbins and Laura Glenn Gibson and husband Ricky of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Lee Warren and wife Lauren, Joshua Dale Gibson and wife Ashely and Cali Leigh Gibson; and two amazing great grandchildren, Peyton Thomas Gibson and Lucas Jeffrey Warren. Vickie loved her family dearly and was dedicated to them through good times and bad. She set an example that will continue to be followed in the years to come.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Lebanon United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim James officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be directed to the church, at 237 Idol St. High Point, NC, 27262.
