Disinterment on May 23, 2023, and reinterred at Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood, Iowa, next to his father.

From the Austin Daily Herald, November 18, 1984:

Funeral services for an eight year old rural Adams youngster, killed in an accident at the family farm Friday afternoon will be held Monday in Adams.

The youngster, Jed Thomas Gaskill, the son of David and Susan (Jaspers) Gaskill, Adams Rt. 2, was killed when he was pulled into an auger type snow blower. The accident occurred about 1:40 p.m. Friday at the farm located about four and a half miles southwest of Adams.

According to the Mower County Sheriff's Department, the boy's father had engaged the auger-type snow blower on a tractor, when the boy, standing on the other side of the machine, reached in to touch the auger and was pulled in.

He is survived by his parents, a sister, Jeri; a brother, Jay; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gaskill, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jaspers, Northwood, Iowa; great grandmother, Mrs. Alice Herman, Glenville; aunts; uncles; cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Little Cedar Lutheran Church, Adams, Rev. Allen Gunderson officiating. Interment will be in Little Cedar Cemetery.
