Born near Alto Pass, Illinois, a son of James Ritchie and Daisy Victoria Adeline (Edmonds) Aaron. He married Ruth E. Sweet on March 14, 1931, in Jonesboro. The couple's children: Jack Allen Aaron of Bristo., Virginia; and Lawana Ruth Garrett, Fredrickstown, Missouri.

He attended Chillicothe Business Collesg in Chillicothe, Missouri.

He was a manager at Western Union in Highland in 1931 and worked in Greenville, Vandalia, Harrisburg and Carbondale, Illinois.

He was president of the worldwide Baraca Philathea Union in 1979 and a part-time broadcast engineer for radio station WDWS for several years. He taught guitar, sold musical instruments and played electric Hawaiian guitar in seveal groups. He wrote 40 songs and published the booklet "Handbook of Common Sense". Active in several Masonic organizations, he was a member of Western Star Lodge No. 240 A.F. and A.M.
