56, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016.
Mary Ellen shared a love of animals with her husband of 32 years, Robert N. Helm III, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her father, James William Hemmelman; and brother, Michael Ray Hemmelman.
She is survived by her mother, Edna Lee (Wild) Hemmelman; step-sons, Robert N. Helm IV and Brent T. Helm; sister, Cheryl Craft (Terry); and brother, James William Hemmelman, Jr. (Cathy).
Visitation will be Tuesday 2pm-6pm at Owen Funeral Home - Jeffersontown, with service to follow at 6pm. She will be interred at Cave Hill Cemetery with her husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the KY Spinal Cord Injury Research Center, 511 S. Floyd St. RM 616, Louisville, KY 40202.
