He was born on 16th October 1919
in Cardiff, Wales, to Albert Henry Phillips
& Ethel Emma Foxhall.
He had two brothers:
Austin (1917-2005) &
Albert (1916 - 16 Feb 1941)
and a sister,
Cynthia Fisher (nee Phillips)
20/3/1915 -1999.
Married Barbara Glenister on
24 May 1947, in Hastings, East Sussex.
They remained here all their married life,
where he was a Fireman, and
later ran a sucessful window cleaning business.
They had two childen.
A son Dennis & a daughter, Anne.
He was greatly saddened by the death
of Barbara on 20 August 1992.
He kept her grave neat & tidy,
until he joined her on 1 September 2004.
Greatly loved by his Grandchildren,
Peter, Paul, Julian,
Charmian, Charlton & Kirby.
Also his many Great Grandchildren.
He loved the out door life,
and driving his car. Something which he
hated to give up, due to his age.
He had a friendly smile & greeting
for everyone he knew or met.
"you'd laugh to see a pudding crawl"
was just one of his many one liners.
Buried with his darling Barbara
at Hastings Cemetery, The Ridge.
