Doris Carpenter of Eugene passed away on October 27, 2016 at the age of 95 with her daughter and son-in-law at her side. Doris was born on June 28, 1921 in Glasgow Missouri to Everett and Lillie Kneuvean. Following high school graduation, she moved to St. Louis where she met and later married Kenneth Carpenter on December 25, 1952. In 1963 the couple and their daughter moved to Eugene where Doris later worked for Eugene School District 4J in the financial services department.

Doris is survived by her daughter Ginger Kowalko (Dale) and was preceded in death by her husband Ken, her parents, and siblings Everett Jr., Eugene and Kathryn.

Doris was well known for her gentleness, generosity and kindness. The family would like to thank the staff at RiverBend Hospital and Sheldon Park Assistive Living for their care and compassion. To respect Doris' wishes, no service is planned.
