AGAWAM - Joanne (Uccello) Cleveland, 61, of Agawam, died on Sunday, April 1, 2007. She was born in Springfield on November 23, 1945 the daughter of Judy (Bellieveu) Uccello. Joanne was a resident of Our Lady of Providence Home for Children in West Springfield for several years as a youngster. She graduated from Holyoke Catholic High School in 1964. Joanne entered the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield in 1964 and chose to leave the Congregation in 1966. She renewed her relationship with the Sisters of St. Joseph by becoming an Associate in 1997. Joanne was graduated from Westfield State College where she earned B.S. and M.A. degrees and in 1976 a CAGS in Administration. She taught at West Springfield High School for over thirty years. Joanne also held a part-time position as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mont Marie Health Care Center, Holyoke for over seventeen years. She is survived by her aunt, Helen Guenette, of Acushnet, MA, and several cousins. The wake will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Mont Marie, Holyoke from 2:00-4:30 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 3:00 p.m. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be in Mont Marie Chapel at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2007. Burial will follow in Mont Marie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, Mont Marie, 34 Lower Westfield Road, Suite 1, Holyoke, MA 01040-2739. Arrangements entrusted to the Sampson Family Chapels.
