Billy Nixon ran a sawmill and owned a general store on the banks of the Caney Fork River in middle Tennessee. He always had some good horses and his preferred saddle horse was always a mare. He was very tall and had black hair and black eyes. He and Martha had 13 children. These children's graves are unknown but are remembered here:
Minnie Lee 1882-1896
Jeffie 1894-1895
Twin baby girls 1907-1907
