Apache Author. He wrote "I Fought With Geronimo", a well received book. He was educated at the Carlisle Indian School, founded by General Richard Henry Pratt, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. As a prisoner of war, he was "volunteered" to attend the Indian School while held in St. Augustine, Florida. He was a tireless advocate for yhr rights and welfare of the Apache peoples.
