John Randall Barham, 37, went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 5, 2002, at his residence. He was a 1982 graduate of Sullivan Central High School and a 1984 graduate of Walters State Community College, where he majored in criminal justice. He served as a reserve deputy for six years in the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department. He was elected and served the people of Sullivan County as constable for the past 14 years. He was also an employee of Food Lion for the past nine years and a member of Bethel View Baptist Church. He was also a member of Whiteside Masonic Lodge in Blountville. Survivors include daughter, Sarah Grace Barham of Bristol, Tenn.; and parents, John and Margaret Barham of Blountville. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rayburn and Rev. Randall Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow. Pallbearers include Darrell Epperson, Tim Cornett, Bob McCracken, Henry Price, Bob Lett, Danny Wilson, Edwin Fortner and Larry Epperson. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Whiteside Masonic Lodge, Dr. Schrenker and Dr. Burkette. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at Weaver Funeral Home.
