Chloe Richardson

GREENUP, Ill. – Mrs. Chloe Richardson, 78, Greenup, died at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony Hospital, Effingham, after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hiles funeral home here, with burial in Greenup cemetery.  Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Richardson was born June 27, 1885, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Clark and Cynthia Greeson Markwell.  She married Ed Richardson Dec. 1, 1905.  He survives.

Mrs. Richardson was a member of the Mt. Zion (Block) Congregational Christian Church, Rural Woman's Club and Ladies Aid of Liberty Hill.

Surviving besides her husband are one son, Arnold, Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Lela Kline, St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Willie and Harlan, both of Greenup, a granddaughter, Mrs. Betty Lou Pyott, Battle Creek, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
