Charlene Evans, 68, was called home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at home surrounded by those who loved her. Funeral: 10 a.m. Sautrday at Cornerstone Community Church, 2233 East Highway 199, Springtown. Visitation: 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Charlene was born July 20, 1944, in Des Arc, Ark., to Ace and Frances Hambrick Weatherley.
She loved to sing and was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Charlene married Bobby Evans and had just celebrated 49 years of marriage on Tuesday, May 21. She was
preceded in death by her parents and brother, Allen. Survivors: Husband, Bobby; daughter, Connie Colvin and husband, Eric; siblings, Betty Worthy and husband, Richard, Bobby Weatherley and wife, Fran, Freddy Weatherley and wife, Joni, Evelyn Rue and husband, Jeff,and Gloria Pendley and husband, Randy; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
