Wayne Scott "Mort" Morton, 88, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Essentia Health, St. Joseph's Medical Center.
A celebration of his life took place in the summer of 2016.

Wayne was born August 10, 1927, in Velva, ND, to Herbert and Doris (McDowell) Morton. He graduated from Bemidji High School in 1945 and was in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Delores Lind October 16, 1948.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; parents; brothers, Irvin "Buck" and Bill; nephews, Dick Morton and Kevin Morton; and many close friends.
