Peggy was the personification of the biblical reference to the "Good and Faithful Servant," living her life for others, particularly her children and her church. She worked tirelessly to help provide for her family while nourishing it with strong Christian leadership through both diligent effort and personal example. She ensured that her children had the vision and the drive to succeed in ways she only dreamed of while giving them the moral foundation to lead good lives as well. Peggy spent most of her career in insurance and banking but it was her commitment to others that truly defined her life. At White Stone Baptist Church she served as a leader in multiple capacities her entire adult life including Sunday School Director, Sunday school teacher, Church Secretary, Vacation Bible School Director, Founding Director of Baptist Training Union, Deacon, and Director/member of more than one Pastor Search Committee. She served for a number of years on the Nettie Lokey Wiley Foundation board of directors and was the organization's Historian. She also served on the board of the local Habitat for Humanity. Above all, she was a mentor to many of those who knew her and worked diligently to be a Christian role model to all.
