She was the third of nine children born to the Godly union of the late Guy Lee and Manervia Meeks Calhoun. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Isaac Charles and her nephew Timothy Nicholas Calhoun. Cynthia was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School Class of 1977 and a retired Supervisor of Patient Escorts at Charity Hospital. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful and devoted member of St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church where she was baptized by the late Reverend Benjamin Maxon.

Cynthia leaves to cherish her loving memories her siblings Coley, Timothy, Ronnie, Stephen (Anise), Stanley (Darline), Paulette (John) Parker, Trudyann (Steven) Williams and Sheakliann Calhoun and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers and members of St. Thomas M.B.C. are invited to attend a Visitation service from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Rhodes Chapel, 3933 Washington Ave. A Homegoing Celebration at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church, 2926 Jackson Ave. New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Interment: Resthaven Cemetery. Rhodes funeral home in charge of arrangements.
