Ruth Kirkpatrick Perkins, 89, of Kaneohe, died in Pohainani Care Center. She was born in Ontario, Calif. She is survived by sister Mary Boruck. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew's Cathedral. Inurnment to follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Sharon Brooks Brimmer, states Ruth's mother was Lavina Rachel Wymore. Aunt Ruth was a polio survivor. She had polio as a young adult, which left her with severe weakness of her leg muscles, requiring her to use leg braces and crutches and in later years a wheelchair, but that never slowed Aunt Ruth down. Ruth married CDR Kenneth Daniel Perkins, who was a US Navy Chaplain. Ruth and Kenneth had no children.
