Ruth Kirkpatrick Perkins, 89, of Kaneohe, died in Pohainani Care Center. She was born in Ontario, Calif. She is survived by sister Mary Boruck. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew's Cathedral. Inurnment to follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Donations suggested to either St. Andrew's Cathedral or St. George's Episcopal Church, c/o 229 Queen Emma Square, Honolulu 96813. The Honolulu Star-Bulletin, March 7, 2005.

Ruth Kirkpatrick Perkins, 89, of Kane'ohe, died Feb. 23, 2005. Born in Ontario, Calif. Active with her late husband, the Rev. Kenneth Perkins, in the women's programs, Sunday school and preschool music program at St. George's Episcopal Church, Pearl Harbor. Survived by sister, Mary Boruck; a niece and seven nephews. Service 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral; inurnment to follow at The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Sharon Brooks Brimmer, states Ruth's mother was Lavina Rachel Wymore. Aunt Ruth was a polio survivor. She had polio as a young adult, which left her with severe weakness of her leg muscles, requiring her to use leg braces and crutches and in later years a wheelchair, but that never slowed Aunt Ruth down. Ruth married CDR Kenneth Daniel Perkins, who was a US Navy Chaplain. Ruth and Kenneth had no children.
