Carolyn Sams Beene Gray, 85 of Martinville passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016.

Carolyn was born on Friday, September 4, 1931 in Martinville, Arkansas to William Eli and Iola Sams.

Carolyn was a devoted mother, wife and sister who loved to cook and garden or just sit on the deck and enjoy the outdoors. She was the most kind-hearted and unselfish person you would ever meet. She was a faithful member of Martinville Church of Christ and loved her church family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Sam D. Beene and Don Gray Jr.; three brothers, Eldon, Doyle, Junior Sams and two sisters, Gladys Sams, Rosalie Ryan.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories a son, Steve Beene; daughter Luana Beene, one granddaughter, Ashli Beene, three stepchildren Don Gray III, Nelda Reed, Robin Gray; three brothers Arlon, Marvin, Wayne Sams; two sisters Luevern Glover, Anavurl Karber and many sisters and brothers in Christ.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Monday, November 7, 2016 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 2-4 am Sunday, November 6, at the Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Interment will follow at Martinville Cemetery in Martinville.
