Mr. James Bradley Morris, 94, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Harvest Temple Church of God in Vanceboro. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Morris was a native and lifelong resident of Craven County. He was involved in the timber industry as a logger. He was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II where he received 17 medals for his bravery and courage in battle.

He was a charter member of the Harvest Temple Church of God where he served as Sunday School Teacher for many years.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Boyd Morris.

He is survived by his sons, James B. Morris Jr. and wife, Betty, of Zebulon, John Edward Morris of New Bern, Don Lee Morris of New Bern and Michael R. Morris of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Judy E. Morris of Vanceboro; grandchildren, Jimmy, Randy, Timothy, Daniel, and Tyler; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Irene Morris Smith of Greenville and Cannie Morris Trammel.
