Lorene "Rene" Harris 6/25/1921 - 10/18/2015
Lorene J. "Rene" Harris of Jackson, formerly of Grass Lake, age 94, went to be with the Lord October 18, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Mark; parents, Thomas and Ruth Harris; son-in-law, Charles Kurzy; sisters, M. Gene Griggs and Ellen Bowser.
Rene is survived by his wife of nearly 75 years, Peggy; children, Thomas (Patricia), Linda Kurzy, Greg (Cindy, Gale (Joyce) and Jim (Jana) Harris; 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Rene and Peg moved to Grass Lake in 1948 and purchased their family farm and began raising their family. Rene enjoyed farming, working on Allis Chalmers tractors and spending time with his family.
He retired from Camshaft Machine Co. in 1983.
Rene was a member of the Federated Church of Grass Lake where a celebration of his life will be held with Pastor Scott Runyon officiating.
