PANHANDLE — Jimmy Austin of Panhandle died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016.

Rosary will be said at 5 p.m. today in St. Theresa Catholic Church in Panhandle, Farm-to-Market Road 293 and Highway 60. Celebration of life services will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday in Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 1201 Park in Panhandle.

Mr. Austin was born Aug. 21, 1938, in Altus, Okla., to Guy and Hazel Austin. Jimmy retired as Postmaster in Fritch in 1992.

Survivors include three children, Alicia Rose, Cathy Smith and Steve Austin; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to Dr. Nadeson and staff at Harrington Cancer Center and the nursing staff of BSA oncology floor and CCU for the care and concern showed during this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Knights of Columbus. P.O. Box 7122, Amarillo TX 79114.
