Larry B. Hays, age 74, of Viper, KY passed away on November 03, 2016 at the Hazard Medical Center. Larry was a United States Army Veteran and a retired engineer for Kentucky River Coal Corporation. He was the son of the late Melton "Gabby" Hays and the late Kathleen Messer Hays. He is also preceded in death by his wife: Alice "Jody" Hays and three sisters: Juanita Dixon, Christine Ball and Patricia Hays.
He is survived by two daughters: Tammy (Ray) Allen of Viper, KY & Kim Hays of Viper, KY; one son: Anthony (Rhonda) Hays of Nicholasville, KY; four sisters: Mildred (Gary) Berry, Maureen (Delmas) Dingess, Rebecca Hays & Karen (Larry) Hornsby all of WV; four brothers: Donald (Dang) Hays of NC, Nathan (Barbra) Hays of WV, Kenneth (Joan) Hays of WV & Harold (Wee) Hays of Louisiana; sisters-in-law: Betty Halcomb, Barbara Asher & Pam Combs; brother-in-law: Freddy Brummett; three grandchildren: Sara, Tory & Amanda; two great grandchildren: Justin & Lucian and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.
