Ruby Barnes passed from this life on November 1, 2016. She was born Ruby Pauline Hacker on January 17, 1915 in Hollis, Oklahoma. Ruby married Leon Brewer on November 25, 1933. They had one son Billy Joe Brewer. Mr. Brewer passed away on August 10, 1936. Ruby then married Clinton Barnes April 8, 1939. They had two daughters and one son.

Ruby was a housewife and a devoted mother until her husband's health failed and she went to work. Mr. Barnes passed away February 11, 1986.

Ruby is preceded in death by Mr. Brewer, Mr. Barnes and son, Bill Brewer who passed November 1, 2015.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth Barnes (Sheree), Ronda Roeber (Norman) and Janice Oatman; 9 grandchildren, Walter Yates, Darrel Yates, Robert Yates, Mike Yates, Bruce Oatman, Trisha Mencio, Ann Wylie, Matthew Barnes and Holly Barnes Covret; 16 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Ruby gave her heart to the Lord at age 14 and lived a fruitful Christian life.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation to begin at 12:00 p.m. at Southeast Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Christine City Cemetery at 3:15 p.m. in Christine, TX.
