In Darien, Genesee Co. on the 14th day of March, 1852, at the residence of James G. Tiffany, Mrs. Hannah Matteson, relict of the late Samuel Matteson and mother of Mr. H. H. Matteson of this city, aged 90 years.
Mrs. Matteson had been a member of the Baptist Church for 76 years and has gone to her final reward at a ripe old age, abounding in good works and labors of love, followed by the blessing of all who knew her. She was emphatically the friend of the poor.
