Barbara Elizabeth (Forbes) McBride, 82, of Ocklawaha passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Avante in Ocala. Barbara was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and was raised in Kearny, NJ where she graduated from Kearny High School. She lived in Harrison NJ and had worked as inventory control clerk for at Clinton Square Auto Parts. In 1988 she moved to Florida to begin her retirement. Barbara moved to Ocklawaha, and enjoyed living there more than any other place. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, and tending to her garden. Survivors include her children Barbara (Alex) Gilio of NJ, Nathan (Karleen) Forbes of Anthony; Cathy (Seval) Karcaatincaba of Silver Springs, daughter in law Alice Forbes, WA; sister Carol Ann Howland of AZ; sister in law Joyce Zitzow of AK; grandchildren: Robert, Matthew, Ashley, Catherine, Gabrielle, Suzan, Kenneth; great grandchildren: Adrian, Bryce, Brandon, Alexis, Ayden, Abigail; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Nathan Forbes, second husband Ralph McBride, son Kenneth Forbes, her mother Gertrude Zitzow and father Frank Zitzow Sr and step mother Aileen Zitzow.; her brothers Frank Jr., Millburn, and David Zitzow. There will be no services at this time. A memorial service will be at a later date.
