Gary grew up in Whitetail, Montana where he attended grade school and raised a little hell. He graduated high school in 1962 in Flaxville. After graduation he attended one year at Northern College in Havre then moved to Billings and attended Billings Business College where he obtained an Associate’s degree in Accounting.
In January of 1966 Gary joined the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed in Texas and then went to Vietnam. After the service he returned to Billings and worked at Empire Steel and G.E. Supply. In April of 1971 he married Dona Voss. In 1977 he was hired at UPS where he was a driver. Throughout most of his 27 years at UPS he delivered to Columbus and surrounding areas.
Gary and his family spent every weekend in the summer boating at Yellowtail. Gary also enjoyed antelope and deer hunting with his friends. For the last 45 plus years he’d meet his friends for breakfast on Saturday mornings.
Gary was also very proud of the adults his two children, Darci and Todd, grew up to be.
