William James "Bill" Cote, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, in his home. He was born March 21, 1952, in Tacoma, Wash. With his father being in the military, Bill lived in Tacoma, Tucson, Ariz., England, Albuquerque, N.M., Black Forest, Germany, and in Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Cote, in 1990; and his father, Arthur Cote, in 1994. Bill is survived by his wife, Kheila; stepsons, Adam (Rachel) Frederick and Kyle (Amanda) Kirwan; five grandkids, Addison, Slateon and Cressa Frederick, and Courtney and Bradley Kirwan; his brother, Steve (Laurie) Cote; sister, Barb (Dale) Boos; as well as several nieces and nephews. Bill spent the majority of his career in the casino industry. He worked at many resorts including the Tropicana, the Stardust, Sam's Town, as well as the Flamingo. However, he spent the last 12 years in the accounting department of the Department of Motor Vehicles. He was well-loved and loved well in return. A private ceremony was held for family Oct. 16.
